To assure on-the-job safety and minimize health risks, be sure to follow all applicable safety and health precautions for using PPG products. These precautions can be found on PPG product labels and on Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
The label on an intermix formula container will have a 1, 3, 4, or 5 number designation to match the proper SDS sheet. The number designation refers to the following:
#1 - Formulas without GHS SDS reportable levels of lead, manganese, chromium, cadmium or nickel
#3 - Formulas contain GHS SDS reportable levels of nickel, may also contain trivalent chromium and/or manganese (but no intentionally added lead, hexavalent chromium or cadmium)
#4 - Formulas contain GHS SDS reportable lead, hexavalent chromium and/or cadmium, may also contain nickel, trivalent chromium and/or manganese
#5 - Formulas contain GHS SDS reportable trivalent chromium and/or manganese (but no intentionally added lead, hexavalent chromium, cadmium or nickel)
